If you are looking for YWAM, it’s very likely that you’re trying to find out how you can be a part of it. So let us tell you a bit more about us and how you fit in.

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a worldwide movement, inviting Christians, like yourself, from all kinds of denominations to present Jesus personally to this and future generations.

YWAM exists to mobilize Jesus followers to help in this task, to train and equip believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission.

You will find your place if you, like us, have a passion to know God and make Him known. Thousands of missionaries are trained every year in a YWAM Discipleship Training Schools, and we’d be thrilled to have you join us!

You can be a part of meeting the very real needs of our world with the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

Evangelism

COMMUNICATING THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL.

With our global footprint in over 180 nations, it goes without saying that we are a very diverse and multicultural organization. You will also find that the creative ways YWAMers express the Gospel are equally diverse and innovative. We believe everyone has the right to hear the good news about Jesus and our prayer is to see fellowships of believers worshiping and following Jesus in every nation, tribe and tongue. We use music, performing arts, sports, and Bible distribution and more to connect with people of all ages and cultures. YWAM also starts discipleship groups in places where there may be no church at all.

Mercy

MEETING THE TANGIBLE, PHYSICAL NEEDS OF OTHERS AS AN EXPRESSION OF COMPASSION.

YWAM’s mercy ministry teams follow Jesus’ example of compassion for those in need. We operate relief and development programs in over 100 countries, working among people living in desperate circumstances. You’ll find opportunities to serve in areas such as agricultural assistance, the prevention of human trafficking, ship-based medical and dental care, and micro-enterprise development.

Training

EQUIPPING STUDENTS TO BE EFFECIVE, WHOLE, AND CHRISTILKE, AMBASSADORS OF GOD’S LOVE TO THE WORLD.

The entry point for all who serve in YWAM is the Discipleship Training School (commonly referred to as the DTS). It’s an intensive 5-6 months of growing more like Jesus, exploring who He made you to be, and serving Him throughout the world. Wihtin our training programs, we aim to equip Christians to grow in their relationship with God and to serve others. Upon completion of a DTS, graduates are able to pursue secondary training programs with YWAM or join a base as a staff member.

In all of our ministries, we desire to see God’s transformative love bring life to every sphere of society. These include family, religion, education, economics (science, business, technology), media, celebration (entertainment, sports, arts) and government. It is our desire to see Jesus glorified in every corner of culture, and we train our students to contribute to that reality.

DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is the first step to joining YWAM. A YWAM DTS is an opportunity for you to wholeheartedly pursue Jesus. A YWAM DTS is 5 months of life-changing training & missions, including 3 months of learning, and 2 months of outreach. The DTS curriculum is designed to guide you through heart level transformation in the midst of a Christ centered community, while equipping you with practical tools you’ll use for the rest of your life.

DTS topics

The lecture phase engages the mind in deeply transformative ways. You will get insight from teachers and missionaries, meant to provoke, challenge, and encourage your faith. Classroom time is a chance to build friendships and dig deeper into the questions we all have. The DTS class curriculum includes, but is not limited to;

•The Character and Nature of God (His ways, the Trinity, and how we relate with God)

• Bible Overview (understanding the story of Scripture and its relevance to everyday life)

•Relationships (healing, forgiveness, God’s design for family, friendships, and romance)

•Evangelism and God’s Heart for The Nations (thinking cross-culturally, apologetics, and worldview)

•The Lordship of Christ (allowing Jesus to be King over every area of life)

•Hearing God’s Voice (through Scripture, prayer, and more)

•The Father Heart of God (how God’s role as Father impacts our everyday life and understanding)
